Fr. David Wilkins is a third-generation native of Great Falls. Before the priesthood, Fr. David served in the U.S. Navy as a Flightdeck crewmember on the USS Saratoga. He received a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science/Public Administration from Montana State University and received a Juris Doctor from University of Montana’s School of Law in Missoula. He served as a Law Clerk in the Montana 13th Judicial District Court in Billings, Montana, and served in private practice in Billings and Great Falls, Montana. He ended his legal career as Justice of the Peace in the Cascade County Justice Court.
Fr. David attended Mundelein Seminary in the Archdiocese of Chicago, and received his Master of Divinity at the Benedictine Abbey and Seminary at Mount Angel, Oregon in the Archdiocese of Portland. He served as a parish priest at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Great Falls and currently serves as the Chaplain at the University of Great Falls. Fr. David also serves in rural parishes at Fort Shaw, Cascade, and St. Peter’s Mission, Montana.
Fr. David is always available to talk with any student -- of any faith – acknowledging that we are all made in God’s Holy Image and that we are one in Jesus Christ in whose Name alone we are saved. Mass is held in the University Chapel every Sunday at 7:00pm and Monday through Thursday at 12:05 pm. Students of all faiths may attend our services. The Sacrament of Reconciliation, Holy Hour, and the Divine Mercy Chaplet are held daily at 3:00pm.
